Under the Ethiopian Ministry of Education Harmonized Modular Curriculum, university courses evaluate academic performance out of 100% and assign standardized letter grades: A+ (≥ 90%), A (85%–89%), A- (80%–84%), B+ (75%–79%), B (70%–74%), B- (65%–69%), C+ (60%–64%), C (50%–59%, passing threshold for undergraduate degrees), C- (45%–49%), D (40%–44%), Fx (30%–39% with re-exam privilege), and F (< 30%).
